Despite all my attempts to get my brother to get a HT so he can 4x and the stuff I ride hes dead set on a full sus so he can start downhill and has come across this bike on pinkbike (check the link below) the bloke wants 200 quid and its not a brand I have ever heard of so I wanted to ask here if its worth the money it should he stay away from it and look for something else? Realistically he doesn't want to spend more than 200-300 quid so any other options please send them on.

Dont know a great deal about them.
There an old frame I remember them when i was around 15 ish so thats about 15 years ago, Back in the day when Rob Warner was racing. Obviously this one might be a newer version

They were a strong frame and well reviewed

You are not gonna get much if you want a dh bike for £200, bear in mind new full dh bikes will be in the region of £2000 £5000. Trouble with a cheap bike/parts is if you give it a good seeing to youll find bits break , this is something i found out on my first trip to alps. But for £200 its not bad , youre not gonna find a lot else at that rice.

It looks like for £200 it's prob worth a gamble, but you would both need to recognise that it is a gamble. The risk is that it puts him off cycling.

Why has it got 24's on it ?

that will be horrific to ride

tell him to look at a cheap kona stinky or similar as an intro to full suss

I used to have a big hit with 24" wheels on it, they weren't that bad to ride to be fair.

I think thats definetly worth £200, club roosts werent fantastic but the frames were still around £800 new. Its got a decent set of wheels (albeit 24"), and i beleiev they are old hope brakes on it. While there old, there still worth a fair bit on their own. Also the forks arent bad.

I think it's great value, just check there's no cracks etc..

Cheers for all the replies everyone. The main reason i tried to get him onto HT was they are cheaper (as he doesnt want ot spend much.) and something like a slackline would handle light downhill and let him do more than just downhill. Been showing him some AM bikes now which i think hes going to end up getting.

Some of the big hits had 26 on front and 24 rear, strange, i had one but it had the modded rear end that allowed a 'normal' 26 rear.
