Going over Danbury fro about 9:00am on Saturday will be leaving about 11:40 ish so i can be home by 12

Got a couple of people from Southend way coming along, one guy is bringing his youngster to teach him more about jumping as they're off to morzine in the near future so a little prep work to be done

i also want to spend sometime concentrating on how my bike fly's and getting it dialled in with a few tweaks here and there to the suspension.

All welcome obviously.

Think I may head up there Sat although doubt I'll be that early.

Actually not that many jumps in Morzine, well lots of tabletops..guess if you can do the sketchy Danbury one your good for others :). Things to learn for Alps are speed control, braking, hand placement and berms.

Warley is a good place for learning jumps too :)

I was think of heading here with my son too . We tried out the mtb course at Redbridge last week end and had a great time :)

We would probably get there for sometime between 12:00 and 1:00... anyone likely to be around then ??

Well that didn't last long for me... got there at 9, did about 4 runs, just getting comfortable on the bike then my rear brake went from crap to nothing, managed to roll down from the top to the car park with it pulled full on and it didn't slow me at all !!

so was on my way home by 10:25 which was lucky for Andy DD as i saw him riding there from woodham ? and gave him an uplift LOL

put a brand new rotor and new sintered pads on and still barely nothing, odd.

Yep..cheers for that.....from South Woodham Ferrers...although done the ride from Chelmsford before which is about the same and you can visit the pump track on the way...if you can dind the bugger :)

Was enjoyable day, really smooth and dry and felt myself progress it terms of speed, being able to pump better in/out of bombholes and get higher air.

I had a period of crappy brakes previously, they wernt gripping, and just got glazed all the time, tried various things, sandpaper down pads (but really only buying new ones was best result), putting on some carborundum grit was quite helpful but best result was to use different bleed method - using syringe method instead of squeeze n drip was what really made a difference, hav'nt done anything since new bike rebuild in October time and been to Chicksands, Danvury, UKbikepark, Warley and been fine all this time :)

Maybe you should try softer pads ?. The organic one or maybe superstars kevlar ones ? The metal/sintered ones need real hard burning in IMO and Ive found in UK with cold/wet and short stop/start runs they just dont get the good/long burn in they need, I've only used them in Alps where normal pads sometimes only last a day or so but you really can burn in metal/sintered ones well and of course they last longer.

I used the OEM pads first and its those i gave up on, just taken them out and put some sintered ones in as they work amazingly well on my old bike. Tried bleeding again 5mins ago, with the spacer in the lever locks up solid, put the pads back in and its crap !
