Post subject:  Downhill runs in ware/hertford or surrounding areas?
Hello everybody, i live in ware and struggle to find any long single track or downhill runs. ive been over to bengeo quarry and that wasnt that great, although there are a couple things to ride, theres sand everywhere!! i also found a cool little run with a few root and rock sections with twists and turns round trees and one or two small jumps in haileybury college woods in hertford heath. it runs directly parallel with the football pitches.

was wondering if anyone knows of anymore decent single track or downhill runs in the area?
not holding my breath as everyone on here must know, this area is far from great for riding.

Hi Laurence of Ware

Since you can get to Hertford Heath okay (4 miles from Ware)
Try punching on another mile, down London Rd (via Ermine St) into Broxbourne Woods .
Loads of Fun to be had in there .....

I believe there is a group of MTB's who do this trail (starting from Hertford though !!) on Thursday evenings, maybe you could tag along for a bit of local kmowledge

I live between ware and wareside. I ride wormley a lot and there are some decent trails there. Much better than you would give credit to. Drop me a message if you fancy hooking up - happy to show you the trails.
