As the subject really...

I'll be actually in penshurst quite soon - it looks to me like porc is shut ( never been before) but if I'm right there and it is still rideable?

Porc is now know as kingdom, it got sold off last year. I don't think it is open but there was talk of it reopening

The dirt jumps still appear to be open as a few riders post vids from there.

Quick update- I very much got the vibe that it was now promoted as a yoga and clean eating mindfulness centre now. The signs say kingdom. Damn shame as the terrain is amazing round there at least compared to the Norfolk coast!

Alls well that ends well though. Wife and I hit leith hill instead. Just getting to the tower was a mission. Took one look at the trail features and gradients on way up and took executive decision that she'd never make the whole summer lightning loop safely, at any pace. I on the other hand had a crazy fun descent. A lot of deep puddles all the way down though even though sunny weather?

Summer lighting is one of 3 official trails over Surrey hills, think they have been put in more because the original or unifical trails that were used crossed over walking paths too much or was generally a problem to other users. The end section of SL has been deforested this summer which is a shame, hopefully there will be a dig day to get it back up and running
