Hi All,

Just got home from the mega onslaught that was the London to Brighton off road event, left home at 5.10am to get the 5.32 out of basildon,so an early start to a very hard & long day,3000 fellow riders all together looked a great sight.
The ride itself was fairly easy at the beginning, but not for long till we hit a brutal rooty uphill section,Southdown link was a great ride & then the final climb & a fine downhill blast to finish, all in all a great day a great cause & great curry to finish a long hard day off.
Ride done in 7 hours (starva)
Now home covered in deep heat, legs, bum (saddle lol) sore.
Good luck to all who took part in this great event.

Cheers Shelfside

This was a epic ride and some amazing countryside as well, the 2nd hill seem to get me the most out of all of them due to the roots being so big. I did get a bit bored along the old railway track but it did eat the miles up pretty quickly. I would of liked to have gone a bit quicker but was doing it with my brother who isn't as fit haha. I Also have never been in a mountain bike traffic jam. was a very mad sight to see a long line of bikers in the middle of no where.
well done all who completed it, great charity, good fun day out. same time next year.
