Hi Guys,

As I think many of you know I work with Adventure Race Essex on their events.

I've been asked a few times and once again tonight about Nuclear Blast that we did last year and if it was on or sold out this year.

Well... sold out would be great but no, bookings are looking good but we've plenty of spaces left. They can be booked on our website http://www.adventureraceessex.co.uk/index.php/events/nuclear-blast/ or on British Cycling: https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details/94255/Nuclear-Blast-MTB-Enduro.

We are also playing host as a venue for MSG next month - Sunday 14th July and that can be booked by visiting http://www.mudsweatgears.co.uk/ or going directly to British Cycling https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/events?series_id=310.

I'm already booking onto MSG and am really looking forward to having my butt handed to me and I'm sure at some point I'll book onto Nuclear Blast...

Anyway - if you've any questions about Nuclear Blast in September OR if you want to help out on the day shoot me a PM ;)

David

I should be doing both. The blast was great last year!

We've Nuclear Burn on Saturday which is the Duathlon... I may do that with a friend that will do the running but what it does mean is the course is going to be open... and they are going to allow camping...

I was thinking about an impromptu dusk-till-dawn event... what's the worst that can happen

'Cough' of course the organizers wouldn't approve I'm sure... Damian if you are reading this then I'm not suggesting we actually did that - it's just privado...

Take up is always slow until the last min - then people decide what they want to do.

In many ways I wish I could have been at Nicks thing but this has been in the diary for months :(

Most of the year it's farmed... and tractor drivers aren't the most observant and have much bigger wheels than me...

Had some feedback that means we are going to spice up the course for Nuclear Blast.

I've not got the exact details but we are going to add in a gap jump in a prominent position as well as an elevated section that will also be in a prominent position so that decent photos can be taken.

What do we think?

But make it an A line so it's quicker to do it than not

For sure!

I was just speaking with Spencer and said I think we want to move it to something you have done rather than won... fast xc races are great fun and all that but perhaps what we need is something more like we have with our races - a decent challenge that is 'fun'.
