Only one hill at all. The riding there was ok except around Heathrow on a flat, straight boring path by the road. It was cold but keeping heart rate at around 140 bpm helped a little bit.

Now there are no excuses to get lost if you have a garmin or similar where you can upload the route. The best is with some locals, obviously.

Last Sunday 12th Feb. went for a ride at Swinley Forest. Enjoyed the consditions towards the end, where I was more confident cornering. Not hilly and plenty of singletrack. I used to ride there a lot on my own. seems to be no matter how many times you ride there you can still get quite lost!

Are you the terminator or something ? to ride there, ride the trails and get home !! embarrasingly when i went i couldnt even manage a whole day, had to pack in after a morning riding the trails, missed out on all the D/H jumps too that my mates went to in the afternoon, was gutted ! plan on going back though and getting on it !

Theres 3 really good trails off the bit at 9km, the labryinth, deer stalker and the babymaker plus some other good stuff very nearby, enough for a days riding in a small area.

We rode the labryinth and another couple of trails that all end up at that funny stumpy area ? also rode the tank tracks and those three jumps in a row and some bermed single track stuff on the way up to the other trails, i just missed the d/h jumps section as i could no longer breathe !!

Yes, labyrinth and deer stalker both end at the claered out area with the stumps in. The labryinth goes on past the stumpy area but is as much uphill as downhill from there to the end of the trail. Tanks traps is a great trail, you can ride all 3 parts of the stickler (lots of berms) which kicks you out at the start of the tanks traps. The 3 jumps in a row, thats the jump gulley?

I didn't know you have to pay to ride there... Yes, that's the name, jump gulley. Been there both times and good place to stop for a while and play a little bit

Only £2 for a permit for day. Ive a year permit for £20 as i ride there reguarly, great value considering the trails. Yes jump gulleys fun, seen some people going huge on it and saw a kid 360 the tabletop (3rd jump on the run) should get a essexherts ride over there organised as i know the trails pretty well now although as tranny said, still easy to get lost...
