Once I get the bike for the job (as my DH bike is no more, and my Trek won't cope) I'll be training at Aston.

I'm planning on doing the whole series either next year (if everything works out money wise), or if not deffo 2014. |

Not been to Aston but keen to go. Sounds good. From what I have seen from the Coed Y Brenin round,we can train pretty much anywhere. It's all about going flat out for 3-7 mins. Max heart rate. Seems to be lots of pedaling thrown into the mix. Have a couple of routes in Epping and Thetford that work well also. Use Strava to compare notes and improve fitness. I use a Lapierre Spicy, however, reckon even a hardtail at Eastridge would be fine. My parents live in Shrewsbury just down the road so may well do a reccie ride a few weeks before. I'm in Masters. Came about mid field in the last race (only one over the bars moment). |

Okay, I haven't been to Aston or Epping but i ride in Thetford a lot. I will be using a Specialized pitch pro 2011 |

Thetford will be good for the pedalling aspect but you'll need to throw yourself down some step stuff too! i want to enter some of these next year |

Yeah, but about 80% of what I ride is steep and fast and quite technical, I think that my real problem will be the pedaling! |

Ah ok it sounded like your main practice ground was thetford which is somewhat on the flat side! not that i can talk much danbury's not exactly steep |

Ahaha yeah, will need to practice a fair but at Aston though because I haven't ridden trails like that for a while. |
