Hi, guys. I'm heading to Austria in a few days for a couple of weeks around Saalfenden and Leogang for the DH, XCO, XCE and 4 trials from 29th August to 9th September. It's going to be my first time watching DH. Can't wait for that!! I don't know the region but I#m sure I'll find trails for my bike. http://www.saalfeldenleogang2012.at/en/

This has been the event of the year! First weekend was 4 cross and downhill. Crap weather but Sunday excellent. The 2 favourites in 4 cross crashed in the final, anything can happen. Downhillers...ufff! If you've seen them racing, Fort William for ex. you'll never forget it. Ref bull plane doing acrobats during finals.A pitty had a shitty cam and took few pics. UK has very good downhillers. Then there were 20" and 26" trial WC during midweek in the old town at night. Saalfelden looked like a festival place with such good weather and organization. I didn't know Spain has the very best in elite male 20" cat and Benito Ros won his 6th WC in a row. Bloody crazy guys on bikes uff! And then the xco team relay,junior,sub23 and elite men and women races. Technical course with 2 dangerous drops. Swiss and French riders doing well in all cats. I was cheering Spain, UK, Sothamerican countries, + many more and some other riders...crazy! I'll upload some pics. And to finish off the funny crazy xco eliminator. I wasn't really expecting much from this but sunny Sunday, good organization and some wicked riders made all this a superb 10 days of top notch mountain biking:wave: |
