Had been monitoring the conditions and have heard similar stories, those 5 trails mentioned are all on the route I ride including some both ways (as its midweek) so id suggest somewhere else.

Bum. Oh well it'll all be worth it in the end hopefully at Swinley. Was looking forward to getting out and having a real peddle tho. I suppose Surrey Hills is out of the question at the moment?? |

Surrey hills is a mudfest mate, locals are asking that the trails are left alone as there getting trashed. one or two of the hills are rideable but its the trails and hills linking everything together where the worst mess is. ill change the title to chicksands as everyone seems happy with that. |

As this started as an xc day then had to changed to chicky,both my travel partners have pulled out im sadly going to pull out also due to not having my new bike today and not wanting to suffer on my ht again! chris cheers for the initial offer of a day out ! maybe next time.......! |

No problems, fellas.  Been reading stuff online that swinley may need to be avoided til its been converted to trail centre, end march(ish) I think. Hearing mixed reports about the surrey hills but im not gonna take a group out and waste everyone's petrol money on the off chance its not a mudfest, need to get over there and check it out at some point. whose actual going now then as i may ride somewhere else instead as it looks like heavy rain on tuesday night and chicky runs well regardless so can go there another time. |
