Right, I'm gonna give this a go, I need the training time for a week long ride in October, seems like the best oppurtunity. I guess it is only sign-up on the day now then? The Bull Track day does sound cracking, but I need to put some miles in.

I'll be the chrome dome bloke with the brown Santa Cruz Butcher, allen keys flying everywhere next to my sisters '09 Type R.

Did I see it was £35 on the day?

Yep, £35 on the day.

I'm the bald one on a big black Rocky Mountain Element 930 (that needs a new chainring).

Go Nuclear Blast, Go Pedal-Worx, good luck to everyone!

Blimey that was tough going, that mud was like glue, it literally was like riding in treacle. Good to get out though but I think the xc racers had it a bit easier, less weight and hardtails.

That was you Dave! Damnit, we crossed paths several times, should have pushed each other on. I saw Bob at the start. I will admit I dropped at 3:07 as I had terrible lower back pain and no painkillers, still I clocked up 7 laps in 3:07:31 - 28 miles. Not bad considering I've not done that many miles for a long time - need more practice.

I'm trying to get the Nuclear Races guys to let us have Poles Wood for a day a month or something - It's got loads of really great land features but it's also the club ground for Poles Wood Trials and they pay £80 for the privilege of a permit to ride and then £10 a session...

I was in the 2h race even though I had a 4h number... it's what happens when you have too much rum the night before and then forget your race pack...

I hated the soft fields but have to admit (as pictured) that I loved the woods and gravel pits :)
