Thought i would post this up to see who is interested and potential dates. Couple of dates in mind are Saturday 7th May or earlier in April over bank holidays possibly? Might be that people are starting to think about plans over B/holidays so thought post up now to gauge response. Some of the climbs can be tough  , but the descents/ trails are great  Plenty of time to get some training in beforehand

Can t do 7th as on stag do. But will be prob be there on the 16/17th of April, We did a mix of FTD and monkey. Was Ace, the switch back climbs do kill you but are worth it. |

Super keen for some more Cannock- Mart let us know the scope of the trail riding trip Chris mentioned ur planning - I might join you for a day. Cannock would be a good call for that. |

I want to try the place out but it will all depend on the dates you guys set, as away end of april and racing begining of may. |

Was tempted to enter the midlands xc rd1 race this weekend, but decided against it. Weekend of 16-17th April is good for me, Martyn, still going? anyone else interested ... |

Yes at the moment, you can safely pencil in the 16th. |

Can I get away with a new hardtail and a normal helmet? That's all I've got but I'm keen, don't think I have anything else on... |

Good chance to test out my new bike as long as the shipping container arrives on time.....knowing my luck you never know....

I only wear normal XC gear for the FTD (follow the dog) and Monkey trail. Not sure if we are staying up there on the Friday night or weather staying the Sat. We might do both, Cannock had a good selections of bars, which we had to make sure where all ok. not a good isea b4 a big ride. lol |

Hi chaps - just thought I would say that the chase is not too far from me. The monkey and dog are fun trails but can be busy on a nice weekend. There is much more of piste singletrack over there which is less busy and a couple of downhill- lite trails. if you could do a Sunday I am sure I could get a local to show you the good stuff. Maybe you should also think about coming up to the Peaks for some proper mtb

We did cannock a couple of sats ago and it was great. Really dry and super fast. Im defo in for the roadtrip and am easy on dates. Peakypaul, i have heard about off piste bits and would love to come up and ride some wiv ya if thats ok....? |
