Yer it was good (and it fitted in  well sort of (120mm travel 1x10 set up wide bars dropper post)). It was a very technical course with the bomb holes and gulley's making it quiet tight in places in the handleing department. I have ridden there before on the meta that the 26" wheels probably felt easier to ride.

There were plenty of xc wippets that did not have much skills, that's were if there was a passing place I over took the most... and on the slippy muddy climbs.

Some one actualy gopro'd it! skip to 10 minutes for riding of the first 10mins of riding. The start is a bit crazy.

How did you find racing the 29th?

Gay! Lol. Good, for a Xc bike they work really well and tbh I found mind to be just fine on the descents. I'm not going to say they are better than 26, but for "getting around on" they are quick and easy to ride.
There really is a noticeable difference between a lot of Xc riders and trail riders as I did notice some if them struggling on descents.

I notice that none of them seemed to stop to get their breath back and have a chat at any point in that video :eh:

I may have to revise my training program to take account of this interesting tactic

Lots of open paths but the single track looked fun what there was of it.

Shame they did't record the exciting parts.

The better single track was more in the middle of the course, still muddy. The first 5 minutes of riding before hitter the first two trees/start finish line was designed to spread people out a bit before the single track (only had to do it the once).

Bob and I thought the same when riding the Thetford WS3. We wondered if some riders did in fact had any lungs.
