Yeah, had an awesome time. Came across Chris, rode with him a lot of the way around.

Had a flat on the 3rd stage which ruined my overall, and got caught behind a load of lads on stage 5 essentially pushing and wouldn't move. But had a great time, and can recommend the event.

Yep, good to get out for a pedal with you and your crew Mr. Tom. Had a blast! Did your bro pip you for the win or did youth win out?

Yeah, was good to see you man. stages were really good, stage 5 was great to finish. Sadly the puncture on stage 3 put me right back, took me about 8 minuts to change it, so the overall time was slightly affected as well,so the bro won.

Good work Mr Vanders.

Tom, 8 minutes on the side of the track can't be the best feeling, but I'm sure you'll school him next time. I'm trying to wangle a weekend away before Oct, so I'll message you if I'm able to make it happen

Race report for sunday.

After having a lovely evenings sleep in a b&b rather than camp out in the pouring rain me and my brother turned up to find the start area a tad muddy, thankfully the first climb out is up the road rather than a muddy track. Even with all the extra riders compared to Saturday the organisers had made sure that every one started 15 rider groups at 5 minute gaps. Stage one was just as challenging as the first but thankfully at least I knew what was in store, still had a little off but nothing major. Pretty much the same story for the rest of the stages, practice defiantly helped. As there was no required start times at the stages riders could turn up and go when they wanted. This lead to comedy moments of catching up with other riders on the skintest sections and not getting past.

The biggest thing I was surprised by was the number of people with flats, I mean, there was no point in being super quick with you had to repair or walk down the course to finish. I was running a hans damp/rocket razer combo and apart from the boggy sections they were fine.

Well organised and good fun, will be doing it again.

I'm in for next year :)
Regular riding with better riders is needed for me though

Cracking video's, a world apart from the Enduro 1's i did. look like you actually had to pedal rather than just fal down the hill? And about 4x longer! epic.

Yer ian, there was a few up hill parts in it or pedially sections as well as a few steep shoots and bomb holes to ride. From doing the enduro 1 at FOD earlier this year, i would say it was only slightly longer on the sections but the transition parts were a lot longer. The vidios show the mud and rocks but not the wind and rain

Ooh wind and rain my favourite.
Yeah looked much more enduro than Enduro1 which was basically DH and transitions

Yeah, was pretty gutted to flat, my first ever in a race. i saw it coming as well, but was just one of those things I guess. One lad flatted 3 times on stage 3! means my overall time wasn't great, but had an awesome time.

Know how you feel about catching people up, I started stage 5 just after a group of 10....then had fun going past them around the outside of corners off the race lines.
