As ever blinding ride, a great laugh, lovely bunch of gents... hot sweaty and a few too many hills, not many going the other way :)

glad i bailed after the first loop as well, as for the stinging nettles!!!!!!!!

thanks again for leading m8 cya in a couple of weeks.

Well what can we say... Bloody roasting hot, hydrated well today, thank Ciar for the sun cream as think I would have been red raw..

Epic place Kent North Downs.. Some hills where epic monsters and we where going up em... Some good down hills and those steps on the last down hill had me and Adam laughing... The nettles alley was painful.... 8 blokes rubbing dock leaves on their arms and wincing hahahahaha (I still tingle now in the arms now)

Those that didn't do second route.. We found a great pub and the food was lush.... Oh and a bigger up hill bit as well ....

All in a bloody fantastic day and company.... And to the next time going here????

Saturday works for me, more so than Sunday in all honesty.

Yes ... great ride and a great day out :D

Upon reflection riding Swinley wasn't the best preparation for 3000 ft of North Downs... but hey ho live and learn ;)

Nettles are the Devils weed

Will work on the route for the second loop.... looked like there was loads of good riding in it... just difficult to find while trying to shorten the route.

Saturdays are a bit of a problem for me :( next free one would be in November......

If we just rode the one loop, wouldn't be an all day thing and it's not that far. I'd ride the first loop any Sunday ;)

Good to ride with everyone today and thanks to Whytey for the help on the navigation

Does anyone have the name of that pub we stopped at? the one where we got water.. as I am thinking of taking the family to Ightham Mote and then going there after.

Great ride, thanks all.. we wandered off to the posh pub (the beeches, ciar), where I had an excellent roast platter, then, despite wanting to just chillout and snooze in the afternoon sunshine, we managed to find our way to bedgebury and do a (perhaps somewhat sedate) lap of the red singletrack.

How much climbing was there on the first loop? and how was the second?

Second loop showed some real potential for a great ride but we landed up doing a bit too much roady stuff as we tried to shorten it... got it down to 18 miles and 1300 ft of climb ;)

And some pictures.....
