I wanted to come down, but some of that climbing would have killed me..!! So it's probably better I stayed at home and cleaned my loft.. I'll deffo do it one day... When's the next Epping ride.?? |

Cool run today guys. Sorry about my near collapse at the end...not exactly sure wether it was my general lack of fitness or inadequate rehydration (thats what my moneys on) but cramp totally got me . Going to sleep well tonight thats for sure. C u all soon on the next run |

Pretty sure the main problem was lack of water and something like High5. I don't know how much you drank and everyone is different but I drank about 2lts, about 750ml was High5.... little and often is what they say Must admit it's the first time I've seen someone stuck on their bike http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/high5-zero-electrolyte-drink-tablets/rp-prod42650 Here's the Penmachno ride Stormy was talking about..... Total for the weekend was 50 miles and 5562ft climbed... my legs weren't working for a few days after that |

As they say hydrate or die. Your body needs to reclaim some of the lost salts and fluids when cycling, and if a bit windy you don't feel the sweat as much. Dehydration is not a good thing to get and I have witnessed this a few times happen. Drink a little and often is the key as Martin has said. Drink before a ride and constantly when on it. Taking more water on a ride is a good thing, Sent from my iPad mini using Tapatalk |
