I also managed to break my brake lever today, gonna have to get a new one. I use XT and I'm thinking about to get a pair here:

Is it possible then to install a new lever without bleeding just swapping the hose?

Cheers

No as the fluid reservoir is on the lever, sorry.

You might get lucky with swapping the lever and topping of the reservoir, but it would be luck!

Use two scaffold type (handlebars or old seatposts are a good option) poles to straighten the brakes.
put one, with an old handlebar grip or something to stop rubbing between the bar and brake lever. put the second and longer pole onto and over the brake lever, lever it to bend back to the original position.
