So i went for the cheap michelin country mud tyres..£9.99 from crc and there great..spent 3 hours dragging my fat arse round thorndon today and they were brilliant..there 2.0's but super thin so cut right through the sludge..great rolling too..perfect if your on a budget...Z |

Got a pair of Geax Datura 60a 2.2 folding this week took them to Epping today (with the bike ) it was a real mudfest ! Well happy with them, excellent grip through all the mud , don't think i span the rear once, they clear the mud very well and don't pick up any debris, roll very well on the hard stuff surprisingly , wet roots were their only downfall but it keeps you on your toes ! I was running 30f/33r pressure but will try dropping them a bit next time. There may be better tyres out there but for £26/pair you can't go wrong.Get on them and get muddy!!! |

Quote: Geax Datura 60a 2.2 And again here. Put a new pair on and went to Danbury yesterday. After dropping the pressure a fair bit I found them very grippy, even with a lean on into the berms. Turning in felt very sure footed and they stayed clear of debris. Good tyres. |

I think I was running around 30psi, but may have been a little lower. |

I always start the day with about 40psi then let out after each run if no good! |

Hi, Time to invest in some mud specific tyres. I had Bontrager Mud X 2.0 on 26" and was very happy with them. Now I've got a 29"and thinking of conti mud kings, bontrager mud x or maxxis medusa. Should be tubeless ready, light and don't know how narrow... Another thing is I'm planning to get rigid forks and going single speed later, so maybe it's better a bigger front tyre? |

Ran the storm control last year and didn't like it.. no edge to it. IMO - Good tyre when the bike is upright but not when leaned over.. |
