Looking to replace my bars with something wider as my current ones are mega skinny, around 660-670mm. What are you guys running?

Just checked and they are 660mm. So at least 80mm behind most people, that's crazy. Going to order some asap! Now what to get..?

800mm on the DH bike. Thats far too wide. There is no need for it at all. Need to get something shorter. Its so wide, it dont fit thru the start gate on Plenny!
Jump bike is 500mm or so. Nice and narrow!

It's not peer pressure, always fancied trying wider but wasn't sure how wide to go. Was thinking around 720 but will try wider first. Can always cut them down.

Want to get them before Cwm Carn and have time to get used to them.

The only place where i have found wider bars being a disadvantage is trying to get through the trees just before the hipjump at Danbury :D

Funny, I was talking about the same thing a few weeks ago with Karve.

I have 660 on Spesh but feel that wider may suit my riding. Probably looking at 710-740 but gonna try before I buy, if at all possible.

REALLY, REALLY, REALLY like my wide bars!

My marin came with some monster wide bars on and then I decided to widen my stumpys bars and ended up gettting some 800mm! Way to wide but good fun, until I get a pipe cutter to chop them.

Pretty simple if you ask me - the wider and ganlgyer your arms are - the wider the bars you need.

760 on the down hill, 750 on the jump, 780 on the nomad (which feel ridiculous when I get on the bike in the car park but ace on the trail!)

If you are going wide I would recommend the atlas freeride (my 780s)- as they are low without being flat and good angles. Use them for a bit - if they are to long cut them down a little. Simples

What Nigel said.

I have monkey arms and live my wide bars on the dh bike.

Went for the Atherton Pro DH bars as they had the perfect width and rise. Going from narrow mid-rise, I wanted to try slightly lower and these are 20mm. Width is 745mm, so hopefully can just leave them at that. Not sure about the decals, but can't have it all. Almost went for the Answer Pro Taper 780, but width and rise won me over.
