The £4.99 ones are the older model , the newer (16% longer ) ones are £8.99 - the choice is yours
i went cheap but its not quite as good at keeping the crud off me as my getto version which is slightly longer like the new ones

Brilliant thread.. I was about to order one the other day but then noticed they were selling the older model for the £4.99 and wondered how much of a difference..

I imagined the newer / longer version would do a better job but wonder how much difference aesthetically the extra length makes..

I've the XL on the front. The extra length doesn't really seem to do much and I really notice it poking out...

I only got the XL for the rear but it wouldn't fit. If I was buying for the front I'd have gone for the standard one.

I went for a standard Which cost about 7 quid
Very effective as a mudguard goes

That's why I got one.
It means I don't have to wear goggles most of the time

I didn't mean the XL Vs the standard.. :)

They have the 'new' version which they say is 16% longer, replacing version 2.1

This new version is 8.99 but in bargain basement they sell the previous version(2.1) for 4.99

I was wondering which of these to order...

The £4.99 one. It's works fine and the 16% longer one doesn't keep 16% more crud out of your face. Also if it's 16% more material, why are they charging 55% more? :)
