Now got a new job secured, fancy building a general/XC/bit of road/pop to the shops bike. Quite fancy trying to build something very light (as opposed to my pretty heavy DHer).

Any know much about carbon MTB frames ?, obviously seen Ibis ones and various far east unbranded ones too....dont wanna spend a fortune so Ill be looking on Ebay/Pinkbike, prob be a hardtail.

Dont mind holding on untill I see the right product at the rigtht price so gonna start buying bits and pieces (pref as much Carbon as poss., stuff like 2nd bars and seat posts seem to appear for reasonable prices quite often) as and when I see them.

I have a Focus XC carbon frame, it's an amazing bike, made in german. I bought it second hand barely used a year ago for £600, shimano XT all round, crossmax wheelset and Reba forks.

If you see any of them for sale I can tell you that they are excellent XC bikes and probably you can get them cheap as they are not popular in UK and even reviews about them are quite difficult to find online.
