.5 cheek pads are seperate to the other which is all one piece they are held in place by a stud!
i think contacting THE is your best option better safe than sorry!

The cheek pads on my scott are held in place with a stud and velcro . personally i think the pads for the one,the point 5 and the scott are fully interchangable with slight differences but an email to THE would be worth it.

Now im not endorsing this but.........i just made my pads feel like new again and prob making them a small and ½ my size really by using an old foam pointy finger from the olympics! i took insert out cut foam to same lines and size of foam already in insert put it all back together again and as if by magic new size helmet!
i took 5 mins feels even more secure didnt cover any vents all 10 of them! because i just followed original pads lines!
now it worked for me but for you i couldnt say i believe i have not changed the safety of my helmet ....in theory slightly improved it with more cushioning between me bonce and shell!
i have a THE industries point 5 heaven and hell.

Hi Guys,

Just a quick update to say I have now brought an Urge Down-o-Matic from CRC after they reduced it's price by 51% ! If anyone else is interested they still have stock - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=69339

As for the JT Racing ALS2 - I was really pleased with it but have taken your advice about a MX helmet not being as suitable. On eBay it goes.....

:high5:

What would be even better is if the ALS2 which I brought for £50 goes for more than that on flea bay since you can't get them that cheap anymore!

Good choice on the urge I have one myself the opening is a little smaller than other helmets so goggle fit can be a bit tricky. I have some smiths and 100%s and they both fit fine also heard Oakley are are good as well.

In regards to mx helmets I think its such a grey as to if they offer more protection or not Pretty sure the Athertons all use mx helmets but personally I dont think I would use one simply because they look MASSIVE just look at the thing!
