Post subject:  Bottom bracket E-type help..

Hello all..
just stripped out my bottom bracket as its getting well loose..its an ES-30 68x121..Ive had a look on CRC and the only ES-30 68x121 they have is a E-type one..does any body know what the E stands for and can i use it..many thanks..Z

E-type bottom brackets are used with E-type front Mechs like this: Image and some chain guides.

The ES-30 is an OE part (supplied to manufacturers only) so you should look for and ES-51 http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... odelID=908 or ES-71.

I might have one of these Octalink BB's (not boxed but unused) that you could have.

Thanks Eccles..thought it was to good to be true..the E-type 1s are about a £5..i think ill go for the es51 like u said..
what one have u got?..is it new?..ta..Z

I have 2 both new but I can't remember if they are the correct spindle width for you but I think the are ES51's. I know they are 68mm shell width though. Will try and remember to check when I get home!

Hi Banjo, I have a UN26 126-68 which I bought by mistake, virtually new. I can give it to you if it fits your frame.

No probs. Forgot to check last night but they're a 113 and I couldn't find the other one in the shed so I'm guessing that wouldn't have been the right size either!
