What are currently the best sealed cable set ?
Where is the best place to get them from ?

Gore ride on's by far.. Need installation correctly but if done properly say hello to trouble free shifting for more than 12 months of regular use...

I have used a number of different types, if you have open cables on section of the frame http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=22234 This is brilliant.
Or if its completely enclosed i use Jagwire (see red pimpage) and i havent found anywhere cheaper than Ebay

Maybe jagwire is what my spesh enduro came with I never had to touch the cables in 5 years

I converted to enclosed cables, just so the bud and water didnt get into the cables, depends if your frame will let you run full cable from front to back, some wont?
Both my bikes have internal routing and full cable front to rear. No issues :)

Mine are full cables its a onone 456 it's the front that keeps going

Dirt gets in at derailer end where the cable exits. Dirt on cable gets pulled in every up shift, that's where the little rubber worm thing you get with gore ride on's comes into play..

Never had probs with it breaking or contamination at the shifter end.. Is the little plug on the shifter still there ? Maybe u are getting crap in through there?

Yeah all intact I just think the outers are crap. When I built the bike I had a tight budget and I think they are Clark outers
