Is it a innie or a outie?
What BB is it?
I have both tools, where are you based?

It's a shimano xtr bb91-41

Not sure what you mean by innie and outie but it sits on the outside of the bb shell with a couple of millimetres of lip and there is about a millimetre of exposed shell all around

You should be able to remove and refit using headset tools. Chatman has mine at the moment but you're welcome to borrow them. You can remove the cups from the frame using a long 10mm allen key and a hammer, carefully tapping at 12, 6, 3 and 9 o'clock positions. Don't use a screw driver as that will scratch the frame.
To refit using a headset press I would advise using 2 blocks of wood with holes in them for the press screw thread to go tjrough. The standard press sizings will push on the wrong part of the bearing and render it unusable.
