OK, so what was a pain last night is now turning into a nightmare!

I lost one of the bolts from the pivot on my frame and as the UK Rocky Mountain distributor went bust I'm seriously struggling to find a replacement!

It's a Rocky Mountain Element 930 2012 model.

I've spoken to Evens Cycles who I brought it from... They want me to take it to them so they can take a picture of the missing bolt and see what they can do - I can take the picture and send it to them... Feckwits!

So I was hoping that somebody here might have a suggestion other than sell the bike for scrap and get a mainstream bike...

Do you have a matching one else where on the frame?
take that out go to a fastner shop and get a matching one

Cheers guys, I've already emailed Canada as well as left messages for them on Facebook and Twitter ;)

It's also the only bolt of that type on the bike!

At the moment I'm thinking about going to Evans and whipping a replacement off a display bike... Lakeside has three Elements in right now!

I would think that would be reasonable to do while you source a new bolt
if nothing else it would enable you to take that bolt to a fastner shop to match up to get a new one.

I have to say that Evans owe me.. They are in my personal experience incompetent buffoons and are my absolute last option.

Is it still under warranty? It doesn't matter if the supplier has gone bust it is down to the retailer to sort. If it is still under warranty take it back to the retailer and bang your fist on the counter and demand a solution. If they don't play ball threaten them with trading standards. i.e this is a safety issue you could have suffered a mechanical failure resulting in personal injury.
If its not under warranty search for cycle shops in Canada who stock rocky bikes and see if they can help.
