Hiya- as a "larger" rider I need a big spring on my DHX 4 on a demo 8 - 700x2.8 and ordered via Marshalls in Welwyn- it arrived next morning from TF tuned- just give them a call direct and they''re bound to have what you need if they can handle a freak like me that fast!

I remember being told that you can by any spring so long as the stroke length is equal or greater than the shock so long as the spring physically fits in the shock.

I run a 222mm RC4 and used to have a 3.25inch stroke spring in there because the actually freelength was only 162mm and it fitted easily in the shock. I think from measuring I could put any spring with a freelength of upto 172mm in the shock.

Look for a 2.75inch stroke spring in the correct weight and measure the freelength if the length from the shock collar at it's further point away from the spring retenton collar thing is more than that of the freelength of the spring it will fit.

You never want to get a spring that has a smaller stroke length printed on the spring than that printed on your shock as it will become coil bound and that's not good.
