Post subject:  Help me with my gears

I am having a nightmare with both my front and rear gears.

I can't get my shifter to click, and I can only get onto about 2-3 sprockets at the rear. In respect of the front derailler I can't even seem unable to get into granny gear (used by me a lot at this moment in time!)

Is it time for new shifters and a new rear mech?

Try following a you tube clip on setting up gears some are brilliant to follow. That should help you get perfect shifting

Sounds like its a setup issue with the rear mech adjusters.

Nick Tonks from Pedal-Worx should put on a basic 'How to' class...

Come on Nick, step up mate ;)

Either your gears need re-indexing or new cables needed as they are stretched...

Gears are quite easy to do but you've gotta take your time doing them and worth spending time doing them... Best doing them on a bike stand and not an upturned bike on the floor...
