I've been looking for a voltage for a while I have just seen a decent deal on a 2011 fr30. Only problem is its a short and I was looking for a long I'm 5-11/180cm and I seem to be right in the middle on the Scott chart. What do you reckon long or short ? |

I'm 1.80 and I went for the long version. Its still a personal preference though. |

Hey Harkin... It really depends on what your riding - local trails and jump stuff = smaller frame / more open DH stuff = larger. Generally the larger a bike the better it is at speed but less agile it will be. Ive never owned a voltage but did own a gambler which had a very similar sizing figures in the geo The only difference between the 2 sizes is reach.. like the gambler http://dfp2hfrf3mn0u.cloudfront.net/188 ... inal_1.jpg 379mm on the small and 404mm on the large. if you compare that to other brands you will see that 390-405 is a standard for a medium bikes reach Transition tr450 medium - 398mm Santa cruz V10 medium - 389-401mm Trek Session - 390mm So the large voltage is like a largish medium which at 5"11 is probably about right. Thanks guys, food for thought. I might go have a look at the short but I did ride Brian's long and don't remember it feeling too long |

Lol I think short will be fine localy and if I hit bigger down hill at any time I guess I could lengthen the wheel base with the long chain stays |
