Post subject:	Suck or blow ?
Not as rude as it sounds I'm afraid. I'm gonna bleed my brakes before trip to the Alps. I was happy with the result last time, using a syringe at the caliper end, but I cant remember whether I a) Filled syringe with oil and forced it through from caliper end and caught spills out of brake lever resevoir with a rag. or b) Sucked oil out of caliper end with syringe and kept the resevoir topped up. Anyone any ideas ?..........They are Saints. Ive got the syringe and tubing.

Suck. Less risk of contaminates getting in as long as you keep it topped up as you go along.

Interesting, the first video shows the 'blow' method, squeezing oil in from the caliper end and using another syringe to make sure the reservoir doesn't overflow. The Pinkbike video shows the old method I used, squeezing oil out using level and collecting it at caliper end, no syringes..but I'm not convinced this method gives good results.

I think blowing is gonna win.more how-tos show that method and think thats what I did before
