I'm sure I've seen a thing on the athertons training with no brakes in the past. It teaches flow etc

Remembering the days with V brakes (not even with booster) on my Rockhopper, might as well have had no brakes. What did we do before disc brakes? Went faster I suppose :wtf:

I did Afan Wall when it opened with LX V-Brakes. Don't think I fell off!

Maybe although there is definatley something confidence-inspiring about pukka disc brakes that allow you to go faster but have the confidence you can stop if needs be.

I have V brakes on my bike and I often ride Hadleigh with some pretty steep / fast sections. I do however plant both brakes if I decide to bottle it half way down a descent which makes my rear wheel lock badly... I personally think its my technique that needs improving rather than the equipment haha!
