I'm happy to recommend stuff that works, every now and then i stumble across something that works so well i think i'm dreaming ! it happened last weekend, i popped into a local motorfactors to buy some engine oil and on the stand they had some muc off chain cleaner like this: it was £9.00 and i did an impulse buy, never really used a chain cleaner before, just scrubbed it every now and then if really bad or just lubed it up after washing the bike. this stuff is amazing ! it gunned all the crap and crud out of every link, i then wiped the chain over a few times with a cloth and applied a little lube, then wiped that off (effectively leaving the lube in the parts the cloth didnt reach. What a difference and used absolutely no effort ! Chain is sparkling clean although nothing like this anymore the black has long gone, feels like a rip off... not sure what the black did apart from cosmetic and now its silver and working the same so there you go, if you want a clean chain and unsure what to use, use this muc off stuff, so simple i can do it ! |

Too much grief, just gun this over it, used it on my rear mech and everywhere else there is a build up of grease/oil/muck. |

I take the chain off every week (quick link) and put it in a fishing bait box, spray it with general purpose foam degreaser, then wash off with a hose, dry it, lub it, wipe off excess and refit. Also wipe down cassette and chain rings. |

No need to do all that, just spray this on, wipe it off, lube. |

Finish line multi degreaser is the business. Apply with old paintbrush, rinse and lube.. One bottle lasts ages.. |

Did it again last night, it takes me 25 seconds to clean, lube wipe my chain on the bike looks like new every time, also cleans the sprocket adn the gear mechs. it removes grease and grime so well and dries in seconds i'm tempted to try it on my disc's ! as they are squealing like a pig currently |

If you buy it make sure you buy 99% version, you can find it on eBay.!! Should be about £7-£8 per litre, you can dilute it with water to make it what ever strength you want.. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isopropyl_alcohol just incase you want to know about it |
