New addition to 4-5 bike shops in town. Opens tomorrow, will have some items and clothing on special offers 20-25% off.

Wondered hoe long it would be before they put in an appearance especially with the Specialized concept store opening which is basically cycle surgery with limited range. Just wish some of these shops would actually stock parts rather than have to order them in.

Cycle surgery is a small shed and the spesh store is just expensive bling, too many road bikes...

Just on Army & Navy roundabout, below Travelodge. Quite large but most of the space is filled with family & kids bike. Components can be so many, it will take them a lot of space I guess. I did see a few Norco Sight & Lapierre Zesty in display but they looked like the entry level range. Maybe more to add as they start trading.

Note that getting to the car park at the back of the building you have to go all the way up behind the houses and back down again, the normal turn off the main dual carriage way is currently closed for works.

Chelmer cycles would still be the best shop in the area. It's like a tardis, they always got what you need..

Yes they are. limited stock though being in a small place but its nice looking at proper bikes rather than supermarket stuff (...just looking though).

Chatman what I meant was the the Spesh stores are franchises operated by cycle surgery.

Am I right in thinking chelmer cycles is the one that has 2 little shops on opposite corners on a residential road? If so didn't think much of it, certainly didn't have much in the MTB side.

Yep that's the one. I would say it's more biased towards the roadies side also that shop Atherton ( or something like that) is mainly a roadie shop, has a good coffee bar though :-)

So having Evans in town should I hope spice up things and price wise be better... So I'm going to have a looksie tomorrow and see.

Chelmer cycles takes getting used to, you have to ask sometimes for what you need. Be careful though as he can smell your bank balance
