I fancy having a swap around and switching out my flat bars on my 29r ht. giving some riser bars a run looking for a decent set of 10mm riser bars, so far the renthals seem to be a decent choice.

I currently run the standard Syncros FL2.5 Tbar, 6061 / 9 degrees / 700mm

any other recommendations please? happy to looking into something longer than 700mm as well

Carbon or alloy?
Look at the superstar and on-one carbon ones for really good value bars

I've got Easton EC70 Carbon bars on my Hardrock and 456 - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/easton-ec70-carbon-riser-mtb-handlebar/

20mm rise though and 720mm wide.

Lighter than the box they come in :) unlike the rider who is heavier than a really big box :D

Also look on CRC loads to choose from...!!

Really depends how much you want to spend, as "VW-surfbum" says you can't go wrong with on-one or superstar for value for money..

Link is not working but i guess its the alloy ones. The width is only 711mm wide which i think will be too narrow. My 29er come with 720mm and i've upped them to 740 (not much of a change i know but a different shape) and shortered the stem to keep a simular stretch. On the AM bike running 760. Nukeproof is my bar of choce and they do a carbon fibre one as well

I have those nuke proof ones you told me about last time we rode saved in my buy list, the standard on my 29'r are 700 so going to try the 711 to start as they are cheap then move on from there.

I use Renthal Fat Bar Lite, 20mm rise & 740 width ! they do carbon but not cheap!, used Answer carbon before also 20mm rise but 720mm width ! the 740mm feels perfect  also very light !
