Hello fellow bikers! I'm after some advice. This is my first post, as I only really use this site for the buy/sell and to snoop Big Grin . Anyway, I have been 'upgrading' my current bike, a DDG Shooter, for the last few years and I feel I need a change. I have recently added the DMR SS kit which I love at the moment. The type of riding I do is very mixed, from trail riding to dirt jumping, gentle bike rides to cycling to work etc. I'm 6ft 2" so I am looking for a 26er, 24er's are too small for me. I wish to continue riding single speed due to the ease and low maintenance (lazy sod I know) Has anyone got any recommendations for a bike that may possibly tick all the boxes, or even a frame to build from. As for a budget. I am looking to spend around £400-500 however if I need to add a few more pennies I will. Any feedback is much appreciated. Look forward to it! Thanks in advance. Frazer |

Ive got a Handsome Dog i have been borrowing off a mate with a ghetto single speed conversion Cheers, Yeah it was my first proper bike - 11 years ago when I was 13!! lol Saved all my paper round money for it. Just think its time for a change. I have read what other people have and a lot seem to be the Transitions, Identitis, Dartmoors & Dmr's. Ill look into the hornet though. Although i'm not sure what to look for in a bike for my needs. The geometry side of things completely confuse me as well Frazer |

I'd say it would be good to check out what others are riding at the same spots you do. Its tricky for us lanky beans to buy a bike that can trail ride with a low enough standover to jump well. Is the budget secondhand or new? |

Well i like the idea of new but i don't mind secondhand - at the end of the day jumping will more than likely mean the bike will get abused a bit so wont stay new for a while |

Secondhand will get you a set of forks and a frame for that money. Something with Uturn would be ideal to make it versatile |
