Hi Guys,

Still lurking on here :lol: and I have a quick question...

I got a pair of M780 10 Speed I-spec B Mount shifters arriving soon (upgraded my brakes), but I noticed in the blurb with the shifters they say 'only use with Dyna-Sys 10-speed'.

Can anyone confirm is this is correct or will another shopping spree be needed?

I thought the dyna-sys bit was to do with the pins on the chainrings, could well be wrong though, i have dyna-sys shifters as they came in a groupset but changed the cassette and chain rings ages ago with no ill effect to shifting ?

Hmmmm ok thanks for the reply, I'm a bit more reassured now - I think :lol:

I picked the shifters up yesterday, very basic instructions and no mention of having to use dyna-sys only.

I'll let you know how I get on....

Shifters and rear mech combo is the only bit you really need to worry about. 10 speed Shimano shifters with a 10 speed Shimano rear mech. You can then use pretty much and 10 speed cassette and chain. I've run SRAM, KMC and Shimano chains with Shimano and SRAM cassettes and they've been fine.

Yep, I can confirm it is all compatible as I've fitted both shifters now.

Need to do the expected adjusting of the derailleurs (todays job) but it works fine.
