Bad news....my giant trance x3 2012 was stolen by a low life turd munching [insert preferred scum related insult here]. Good news...insurance replacement time! I've got to go to Wheelies so choice is fairly limited...loved my old trance so was thinking a straight replacement with the new 27.5 trance 2...which looks like a lovely bike to me - but the fox 32 ctd evo damped fork seems to be getting slated a lot these days so started looking at the reign 2 for a couple of hundred extra which is rocking a 160mm Pike fork which everyone seems to be raving about! Most of my riding will be Cannock Chase trails / Epping - with some new-bike inspired adventures thrown in no doubt - but not riding anything massive and thinking the reign might just be too much bike? Anyone got any experience of the reign or 160mm travel machines? Is the reign likely to go uphill as well as down? Can the 140mm fox evo fork on the trance really be that bad? The 125mm fox evo my old trance seemed decent to me but not much to judge it against....? |
