What do you wear?

I'm debating full face / goggles vs open face and sun glasses.

Do you wear full face on single track / general trail riding?

Both, but only since Christmas :)

Today I went Danbury and used the full face (for the first time), tomorrow I will do the Epping ride with an open.

Trail riding is open face all the way though I am looking at the new bell super 2r (which is a full face that can be converted to open) for when I did a few planned enduro races. Have got a full face and you really can't ride trail with it (too heavy and not open for breathing (you will be surprised by the difference)).

Trail lid for anything with pedaling. Full face for uplifts or push ups.

Full face helmets make it much harder to breath when pedalling.

That Bell lid looks pretty good. But only for racing... Good piece on pink bike with steve parr who was chatting about wearing full face lids at all times... The bell helmet looks like it may be the way forward if that is the case

Just had a look at the video on CRC for the bell super 2r, looks like a very nice bit of kit love the way its convertible and has a breakaway camera mount. Clever stuff

Yeh bell super 2 is a proper lid! Very comfortable! All area's covered mate!

P.s I brought some smith goggles of the bay second hand & tried them with my MET parabellum , fitted like a glove!
No more water streaming from my eye's when cold ! May use them throughout the winter months!

^ I hate glasses but don't feel cool enough to wear goggles every ride. :)

Interesting.

What type of riding do you do?

I like the idea of the Super 2R, a one helmet for all occasions type of thing. But the Met also looks really good, if it is well vented and easy to breath in, it would be ideal for what I'm looking for, ie a take everywhere lid. I also like the idea of buying a set of goggles with clear and tinted visors. I would then have a lid and goggle that would suit all types of off road riding and weather.

I use it everywhere, from BPW to cannock to a bit of Xc around Danbury. Tomorrow is a fast urban ride so some think it's overkill but if it protects and I don't overheat (it's no different from wearing an xc lid) then it's win win in my book

I tried on one of the new Mett Parachute helmets today, it fits my head really well and the chin bar is very unobtrusive, it feels a long way away from your chin.

Much less claustrophobic that a Fox Rampage that I tried on a few weeks ago.
