I've just got one of these http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/minoura-b60-r-trainer/rp-prod88114

Seems well enough made and does the job without spending silly money.

I'm using it with an old Decathlon cycle computer and HR monitor.

Tried it out properly for the first time last night.

Only a 30 min session so boredom wasn't really a problem with the stereo on.

I'm not really viewing it as cycling more a cycling related fitness activity if you see what I mean

I'm looking for reviews on TT. Been looking online to try and narrow down choices and prefer TT to the roller types (I think) and the gadget loving part of me likes the idea of the ones that come with iPhone apps etc in order to monitor progress etc Anyone got any suggestions, tips etc?

What the saying - There lots on ebay because they dull and boring. I tried one last year borrowed put my old HT with slick tyre maybe wrong kind of bike didn't get very far as in hooking up laptop. Tip See if your local gym does pay as go do spin class.

I'd go with spencers advice and hit the local spin class if you can't get out on your bike.

Nagmakava1, I've had the lot over the years. Personally it depends on budget and how serious you are about numbers. Rollers : light, cheaper (generally) and need balance core and full body work compared to static turbo. Turbo : more specific numbers and way more features. (Power and other analytics - depending on budget) I'd get a cheap and nasty one to start - you may not like it.
