Chaps, I've seen a SRAM carbon crankset for a pretty decent price but I'm pretty sure it aint gonna be compatible with my ride so in the vague hope it might , can anyone confirm if it'll fit ok? Details are as follows My bottom bracket (BB30) width is 73m, the crankset I have fitted at the moment has a spindle length of approx 100mm. The crankset (bb30) I've seen is meant for an 83mm BB and the spindle is 120mm - is this a non starter? |

Should be fine but you will need a spacer between the bb and cranks (comes with a new bb). I've just fitted a set of carbon sram cranks, get them with a spider (unlike I did) as they are different from alloy ones (the carbon is thicker around the spindle area so the recess has to be bigger). I'm not that clued upon bb30 as all my bikes are pressfit 92 and going from that knowledge. |

Well normally you'd need to buy s 68/73 crank for your 73mm frame, I don't know if 83mm ones will fit but as mentioned maybe a spacer will work, it would push non drive side crank out by 10mm. You'll need a GXP bb too if yours is currently shimano style. I too bought xo cranks and very happy with them. |
