Guys - can anyone recommend any cheap (<£200) replacement wheelset for my faithful old Trek 6000?

They need to be QR friendly and I'm not fussed about tubeless, which might make it a bit easier....

Superstar have these available as an opener: http://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/a ... eelset.htm

On-one have some along similar lines

But i'll take recommendations :)

Cheers

Chris.

Superstar are normally good value and a few mates have them and are happy.

I also like the Mavic Crossone in that price range: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/mavi ... prod127011

But perhaps the best option is to ask if anybody has a set for sale (we all do...). You'll be surprised what you can pick up for a fraction of their original cost ;)

And if you are braver you could pick up a super deal on eBay on a set of wheels.

Just had a quick look on eBay and found these: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 1288506470

Not everybody likes Shimano wheels but I really liked mine.

Those xt look good, only downside of the mavic ones is the straight pull spokes being made by the midgets under the mountain who only work on Thursdays with a 31 day month, so if you break one there some times can be a delay in getting one
Superstar wheels have been kind to me, but my money would be on those xt's

I think they are kept in the realms of mordor and guarded by the most angry of wheel builders.
