Morning Guys and girls Trying to find a helmet and armor I got me self a bell cycle helmet but looking at it its more a road helmet and as now I want to do more off road xc riding I see the helmet is no good for the riding I want to do I can see the need for full face but sometimes a little over kill sometimes and I've come across a super bell 2r that's the best of both worlds how do you guys rate this Or would you invest in enduro helmet and a full face ? Once again thanks for your help |

The Bell 2r is a good comprimise if it fits (need to try one on really) or there is the parachute but that doesnt have the chin that removes. I use the latter as its a good fit for me and it meets the stronger safety checks and you can ride all day in it without overheating. |

Chelmer Cycles Stock the Bells, with the removable chin bar. best to try one on as they are a very different fit to "for example" my Urge helmet. |

I dont know if anyone else noticed at Ard Rock, the std Bell super (not the 2r) there were a lot of people wearing them, the lid was coming down over their ears? looked very odd and cant be comfortable? |

I've been looking at the urge helmets too ??? And to be fair the reason I asked is it didn't sit right looking at other men's helmets and sizing them up |

Ive got UVEX Quatro and it fits well has lots of adjustment.. ( got it from zee Germans.. Bike-discount.de  )The main thing with helmets is get One that fits your head properly..!! It's no good looking cool If it falls off when you crash..!! ( yes I know everybody hates mushrooms head..  )Order from crc, wiggle, wheelies etc online with free returns that way you can order a few to make sure they fit, or go to your local shop. I find local shops only seem to stock a few if not only one brand that's why personally I prefer online.. Good luck

I've always had pisspots which are good for side and rear coverage but just bloody hot, I've only had one "big accident" (plenty of minor ones), I was knocked out briefly and had grazes all down my face. Luckily they were all superficial as there were no rocks/slate around otherwise I'd have be in a right mess, this was doing XC. Sadly my foot was mashed to fuck though  Needless to say I wear a fullface now, although I find myself doing less XC these days the heat and breathing is annoying I'd still put on the full face depending on speeds/location, if I was just on a leisure ride with the mrs a pisspot will do. Couldn't care less if people thought I look I twonk lol
