Post subject:  Tubeless setup
I went tubeless around a month and bit ago and so far loving it (main thing is running slighly less pressure to get more grip but no pinch flates), but will be changing tyres over espicial for a riding trip, can the sealent be reused/come of ut reclamed or is it better just to bit the bullet and use new full stop?

If you used stans you'll probably find most of it has dried and coated the inside of the tyre. I very much doubt you'll find enough to reuse but if you do I can't see anything wrong with trying to recover and use it. But I would still put in the full amount of new sealant.

Na using this stuff which is meant to last the life of a tyre (its good stuff, looks like poridge with bits of coloured rubber to block the holes)

I still had a puddle of sealant in my tyres when I swapped them recently so I scooped out what I could, re-bottled and threw it back in the new.

I change mine and the team riders tyres all the time mate, sometimes twice in a race weekend and always recycle as much as I can out of the tyre that is coming off. If its still running ok you can hang the tyre up after you have taken it off and it will slowly pool in the bottom, making it easier to pour/scoop out.

So far so good, when i did the orginal tubeless conversion it was with old tyres. The rear had two small holes in it (that i did not know about), with a bit of sitting 'hole to ground' action the holes were soon pluged and did not cause any more problems. As for changing tyres and re-using sealant, once open i was able to save a little it of it but it really was not worth it
