After a few people were asking about lights, here's some links from DX, also you can find them on Ebay, but not as cheap, be aware though DX tend to be 3-6 weeks delivery

Big boys

http://dx.com/p/mj-872-waterproof-4-cre ... -set-80953

Good bargain reddage

Good allrounder
http://dx.com/p/p7-waterproof-ssc-p7-3- ... -set-82509

From personal recomendation, one on the bar, one on your lid, and the darkness will never be a problem again!

Or you could spend loads and get

I've got one of these....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180917241811? ... 1439.l2649

Can't go wrong for under £20 delivered, it is bright too and UK based, delivery of mine was under a week.

Better than the original Magicshine I had before, and the battery looks pretty waterproof (it has a rubber case)

How long the battery will last remains to be seen, but it cannot be any worse than the magicshine batteries which are terrible (I've had 2 different magicshine units).

I'll dig some brighter ones out (from a chap in Scotland) I cannot recommend highly enough.

Yeah that looks like a bargain, looking at the suggestions of other lights on that page that the T6 is 1800lm is a little dubious though :)

You got a link to the scottish ones?

Oh yea, it's not 1800 lumen by any stretch, but it is certainly bright enough to take off road. (it's brighter than the "900 lumen" P7).

The Scottish chap's ebay shop is:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/big_f_d_d/m.h ... rom=&_ipg=

He seems to be a bit short on stock at the moment, but no doubt he'll top up!

He doesn't have the one I've got at the moment.

He's very helpful, and has sorted me out on a warranty issue too, so I would certainly recommend his products and don't doubt his warranty will be more helpful than dx! A bit more expensive though.

How visible will the lasers be in ambient lighting at night, with street lights, car lights and such
it will look great and be very visible on a pitch black road, but there arent that many of them

But then you'd die anyway as they'd hit you! Don't think the lasers are powerful enough to destroy objects!

That time of year again, i had a smallish very cheap light last year for the dark season and although it wasn't amazing it was adequate (just) so i thought i'd get something a bit brighter, on recommendation i bought one of these cheapies off ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180884734593&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:GB:3160

First impressions are pretty good and for the money i'd say excellent, well worth considering but i have yet to try it on a night ride yet !
