Had a halo hex bolt on 10x135, it snapped on me yesterday
Anyone recommend a decent replacement? I'm a big guy & I don't really get a lot of air time but I do love to hammer about so strength is my aim really.
Was SOOOOOOO lucky when it snapped, had just belted down steep wooded section & began climb when rear end felt "odd". Got off to look & rear wheel fell off :eh:

Lol - lucky yes but just think about the picture you've deprived everybody of...

Not had skewers for a long time but I know I like the XT ones on my sons bike or just replace like-4-like?

Ps, not going to replace like for like as now I've asked around/peered into the interweb, have a lot of folk moaning about rear halo bolt on axle snapping.
It's put me off.
Are there more axle options for the rear? Something that can take some heavy hits?

I use a Hadley 10mm bolt.. here's the part number H500260-CLR , they are basically like "Chris King" so the quality is top notch.

Not had any problems apart from having to get it from the good ol U S of A.. :D
