Post subject:  Hardtail advice for new start 26r steel

Hello
i have made a mistake of buying bike what thought to be medium frame, but more like small.so was going to strip and build another bike.i am 5.8 foot and 85kg,i have old mountain bike what i feel more comfortable on.but that has 23 inch frame and 22.5 top tube and high rise bars and 120mm stem.its very old and rusty thats why i thought about a newer bike.the slighly newer bike is 16 inch frame but a bit more modern 2006 dialled alpine but feels too cramped.i would like to get steel frame, but open to alloy.i have found two frames by cove on ebay one 17.5 one 19.iam not jumping or downhill.150 is my top price for frame.any other advice or pointers would be helpful, thanks.

On One Park wood frames are currently on sale for £99. Not steel but still a good frame. They also have the classic 456, which is steel.
