I went for the high dollar chain tensioner.

Some plummers tape
2- 1inch 1/4x20 bolts
few washers
2 1/4x20 nylock nuts
1-sewing machine bobbin

Why stop there ?, why not build a whole bike out of sticky tape, zip ties and bits and bobs found in the bin.

What I can understand that they were doing these "state of art" devices was in the early ages of the chain devices, not many second hand around and to get one new it was mega expensive. I can't see anyone doing that anymore when you can get a new one for £ 20.

But if anyone feel like ...step by step tutorial!

Got to love cable ties. I read once of a guy that wanted to lower his car but instead of forking out on new springs he just used loads of cable ties to compress his existing springs. Muppet.
