So with the 2 hr race starting at 14:00hrs and the Kiddies rides at 10-11:00 then a race potential at 12:00 kind of takes the whole day up?
Traveling all that way and then doing the 1hr race  just doesnt make sense :?
I'll be having to negotiate bringing MrsVW to races just so No1 can race, but then that means them hanging around to potentially 16:00+ just so i can do a proper length race.

There may be trouble ahead?

Didn't thinking about Master Stump... feel bad now... still he can do under 12 boys at 12:30 and I can get stuck into sport male (thinking that may be the wrong one for me now...) at 14:00

Good course the Codham one.. it's on private land, well someone's rather large back garden... Good course. Last year's one was well rather wet and ate a few bikes, mine included, but had a good mix of terrain to play on.. hope they have the sandpit hole again... that was fun....

Can be ridden on both, and 26" 650b & 29'ers ( all bases there )

It's XC so no full gear pads needed, but knee pads help to absorb the roadies as you ride over them or happen to crash into them on a down slope......:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Full suss or hardtail makes no odds really. I'd say there's no need for full pads.
