Hi Guys,

When I submitted my entry Damian the organiser dropped me an email saying that they do discounted entry for clubs etc. Not sure how much but may be enough for a cup of tea.

Another option for anyone interested are some races in Ruthin next weekend. Saturday night is a 25-mile night race and then there are races of varying distances (20-50 miles) on Sunday. Cheap too; I paid 47 for both the night and day race and includes dinner saturday, camping, heated showers, and the typical race support.

You're asking an American for European geography...don't ya know we don't have an edumacation system' ;) N. Wales, about a 3-hr drive from Stevenage, apparently. Here's the page to the race: http://www.mtb-marathon.co.uk/events/ruthin.php

I'll be heading up Saturday morning and as of now doing the night race and the race Sunday. I say 'as of now' because I charged my light battery overnight and either it isn't holding a charge or I didn't have it plugged all the way, praying for the latter.

Ah ok, in that case it's a 7 hour drive!
I'll stay local, but I do fancy doing a night race
