First ride at Danbury freeride area today and absolutely LOVED it :D

Thanks to Steve & Rich for a great session and the feedback. Will be visiting again as soon as possible.

So my choices are increasing now; Woburn and Danbury, both have much bigger stuff I aspire too, and slowly getting there (in a controlled manner!)

Just got to get Aston ticked off this year :D

Yep, great session at Danbury! Despite a bit of rain on the way there, the rain held off and it was dry everywhere. Did a quick tour of the place and hit the jumps. We quickly progressed from the small jumps to the larger ones (near the ski-jump). Despite some reservations about the size of it, Paul and Rich gave it a go and by the end of the morning were very nearly clearing it and landing on the transition. Did a few runs, had a go on the ski-jump, the canyon drop and the hip-jump then back to the jumps.

Glad you had a good time there, you were looking really confident by the end and had a good technique.

Hope you made it back in time Rich. You just need a smaller spring and then get back there and try it out!

I'll be there again next Sunday if you want some more practice. Might even try and get half day Friday for an afternoon session if the weather's good.

Yeah a great if not short session for me......loving that jump and really think a couple more feet and I will clear it.

Weird about the spring, I will check out the SRAM website and give Merlin a call....wonder who the UK distributor is as it defo did not come with other springs, in fact it wasnt advertised with any either.

Not sure whether to do this Friday or next Friday - can you do either Matt? The only thing I'm thinking is I'll be at Danbury Sunday, but will probably be at Chicksands the Sunday after, so it mixes it up a bit. Then again, I'm not sure I can wait that long!

Not sure about next Friday at the moment, may be able to do it, but won't know until into next week.

Ok, will check the weather tomorrow and make a decision. I'm working Saturday, so might be good to get an afternoon out the office.

Cool, forecast is looking pretty good at the moment
I've just got a few additions on the bike, including bars and stem, so keen to give them a good ride and sort out the position of everything. They are different size and it feels a bit funky at the moment!
